Rain runs are the best. Seriously. But my ipod may have suffered an MI.

I spoke with Chris this am () and they are doing so much, even going to Quebec from Montreal for a visit there! He actually even e-mailed me! wow…times they are a changin’.

So far an ok day- Visited with Gram (took Lambert along for little jo-jo) and unclogged her sink, lol. Feel a little better now, since I slept untill 9am- so I HAVE to run tonight.Getting some things in order for school, and Sienna help me with my myspace profile- we thinned things out a lot!

It’s a warm day, but you can sense that Fall is about to arrive in all her glory.

8 miles in 72 minutes- am run: awesome- I actually had energy for it. Must have been the waffles with syrup Gonna do that again! So today we may goto the lake, although it seems weird now. It was pretty cool out this morning, and even late morning was very nice. Not hot enough for the lake, I think. Late I’ll hop on the bike after dinner~chris told me the gears seem happy enough, and the crash didn’t ruin things.

OK~ forget the bikeride~I think I have Strep or something: I’m a sickie right now.

crazy women and their bikes and haircuts.

Getting my hair done for the first time in like 2 years…(?)

45m 13.00 miles 17.33 miles/hr

13 mile bikeride n 45 min-included a crash- with only a scratch to show it. A lady was walking across the street from a garage sale, looked both ways and at me- but then, i swear, she walked right into me. I had just assumed that she did in fact see me and would make sure not to walk into me! Well, all I ended up doing was brushing her shoulder, but I crashed into a road sign and down to the sewer grate. I really believe my helmet saved my head. The lady was fine- just worried about me- and I was just worried about her, lol. We were both ok- so I got right back on and booked home, but again had to fix the chain. I also know my guardian angels need a big raise. At least I would have died happy, though. Flying through the air like a bird. Wheee.

Speaking of my head, Chris (and Natalie, the new "What Not to Wear" spokeswoman ,lol) took me to get my hair done where Si gets hers colored. I had the best hair stylist-she was great- I really liked her and we even set up our next appt. Well, she took about 3-4 inches off- but my hair is HAIR again. It’s really cute., mid-length.  We bumped into a lot of people today, Tonya, Dan, Tyler….So cool to see them. Got my Ball jars for canning my sauce at ACMoore, along with some cute ribbon, scrapbooking supplies on sale, and Then we picked up a couple tops for tomorrow since I’m singing, and my entire wardrobe is, well, "What Not toWear!"

Wow. I’m a spoiled friggin brat today. And I still have my head! whoooo!

I’m going to run about 4 miler (probably in the rain, sans ipod) tonight.

dag, yo.

good start to the week :) 8 mile run this morning :) time 73 min- "long slow distance"- Gorgeous out-and I went out late morning:) Needed the two gator flasks. I’m going to call Wisbiff to set up a non-stop eating appointment (LOL) and then have lots of chores around here, will check up on Gram and pull in her pails, etc, and bake bake bake! also planning a good long bike ride tonight when chris gets home. 44m 13.00 miles 17.73 miles/hr 1h 13m 8.00 miles 9m 08s /mile pm: a tough 13 mile bikeride…the lower gears are ticked off again. I need to take her to the bike shop again

running quote

Saturday, August 12th, 2006
"Dedication sometimes means doing what you don’t want to do. I hear people talk about discipline. Some think that I’m a very disciplined person because I lost so much weight and have trained for so many marathons. Nonsense. I think I’m about the least disciplined person I’ve ever known. I’ve always had an irrepressible spirit that doesn’t respond well to discipline. A rigid environment is like a prison to me. Discipline is not my strong suit. But I’d go so far as to suggest that many of the elite runners I’ve met aren’t disciplined either." -From No Need For Speed, by John Bingham
