better than new year’s eve

Wow- it all begins tomorrow. I think that the first day of school is really the New Years Day for us.A true new beginning. But we’re not ready. I mean, in so many ways.

Chris returned last night around dinnertime, and brought not only Tom and Dad but chinese food :) I made coffee and chocolate cake and we had a good time watching the picture slide show of their trip to both Montreal and Quebec. That was really neat. The evening ended around 9:30 (?) and Chris, Sienna and I stood around in the kitchen and he told us some more stories . I love that man of mine. And we learn so much about each other by spending time with our families. God has been showing me the joy of just STOPPING to relish time with loved ones. It really is all about relationships, not accomplishments. I need to focus more on a good balance. Reflecting on this week, which flew by, I see again that life is full circle a lot of the time. Family and friend relationships from my past coming back to life, and me being a lot different now. It’s really all about people. The precious people God created and loves.

It was so wonderful having him back. But he had to get right back to work early this am. And we need to get ready for the week!
